Everyone I speak with lately is talking about what else - the weather. After a long, extremely cold winter with near record snowfall amounts, we have faced a cold, snowy and wet Spring. In early April we had a handful of days that looked promising, but the last few weeks have been gloomy, wet and cold, with days that were at times quite windy! Only people with sunrooms already have been able to be outside enjoying their decks.
All of this harsh weather has prevented us from spending any quality time outside, which can be quite important to our emotional state of well being. This foul weather seems to have depressed a lot of people, which is something I would like to comment on.
Some time ago, a former customer commented on how she enjoyed reading my articles (at least I know someone is reading them)! She mentioned that I should consider writing about the health aspects of owning a sunroom. She declared, prior to having her sunroom, she would often suffer bouts of depression, but after getting her sunroom, she has rarely suffered from it since! When you think about it, how do they often treat depression? Light therapy! Which is exactly what you have in a sunroom - lots of light and lots of fresh air! This is one of the intangible benefits, aside from being outside much longer, that makes owning a sunroom such an investment to your lifestyle. So when you get tired or depressed of sitting inside your house wishing you could spend more time outdoors, give us a call at 204-940-3030, or visit us at 265 Sutherland Ave. and we will show you how you can enjoy a much "sunnier" disposition.
