Although September is almost over, the temperatures were slightly above average this week, making it hard to believe Fall is here. April and May were cool and windy but June, July and parts of August were hot and humid. The cool, wet Spring weather, followed by the hot, humid summer slowed our guys down a bit so I am hoping for a prolonged building season.
Although weather can sometimes negatively affect some businesses, it actually helps ours. Almost every house built in the last fifteen to twenty years has a deck and with such unpredictable weather and short summers, many people end up sitting inside, wishing they could be outside. In addition, many of these decks are reaching their lifespans and require maintenance, repairs or replacement and a lot of people are looking for an alternative.
Having a three season sunroom gives you the control over the elements, while still getting the feeling you're outside. Most years, you will enjoy your deck for up to eight to ten months. Compare that to how many days a regular deck can be used and it starts to become an even better investment.
